Incredible footage shows the exact moment when two drone bombs exploded in front of Nicolas Maduro, the controversial Venezualan socialist leader.
Cameras recording a live speech from the South American president capture the moment the explosion takes place.
The huge explosion can be heard in the video, which shows the shocked reaction from Mr Maduro looking upwards towards the drones heading towards him.
Footage also shows the quick tactics from his security team to protect him as wellas dozens of soldiers on the ground fleeing from the scene.
Although Mr Maduro escaped from the attempt on his life unhurt, the blast injured seven soldiers.
Some of those injured were later pictured holding bloodied wounds to the head.
It is not known whether the explosive drone was shot down or was detonated prematurely.
A mysterious rebel group made up on civilians and military officials claimed responsibility for an assassination attempt, according to a statement on social media.

The drone explosion took place during a televised Caracas parade commemerating the 81st anniversary of the military.
In a address to the nation, Mr Maduro later accused neighboring Colombia and unidentified "financiers" in the United States of being behind the assassination plot.
He said: "A flying object exploded near me, a big explosion. Seconds later there was a second explosion."
He added that some of the culprits involved had already been arrested.
Colombia denied any involved, branding Mr Maduro's claim a "baseless accusation".
In June last year, a helicopter attacked and dropped grenades on Venezuela's Supreme Court.
Oscar Pérez, a rogue helicopter pilot, claimed he carried out the helicopter attack.
He was killed by police during a siege near Caracas in January.
